Split Mobile is a shared expense platform built to help groups collect, track, and reimburse real-world expenses — from receipts and rent to trips, events, productions, and shared purchases.

Split helps hosts create a shared expense, invite others to pay through a secure link, track who has paid, and withdraw collected funds through supported payout methods.

Our Mission

We built Split because group expenses are still awkward, messy, and easy to forget. Whether it's dinner, rent, a trip, or a production, one person often pays upfront and then has to chase everyone else down. Split makes that process cleaner by helping groups document the expense, assign who owes what, collect payments, and track everything in one place.

What Split Does

  • Create a split: Scan or upload a receipt, or manually create an expense.
  • Flexible splitting: Split evenly, by item, or by custom amount, and edit receipt items when needed.
  • Invite guests: Send a secure payment link — guests can pay without downloading the app, using supported payment methods where available.
  • Track payments: See who paid and who still owes, and track cash reimbursements alongside online payments.
  • Wallet & withdrawals: Collect guest payments into your Split wallet and withdraw to your bank through supported payout methods. Standard bank withdrawals are free and typically take 3–5 business days.
  • Virtual cards (coming soon): Card-related features for group expenses are part of our future roadmap, where available — not yet live for everyone.

Split is designed for legitimate shared expenses between people who actually owe part of a bill, trip, rent payment, event, production, or purchase. To help protect users and maintain platform integrity, larger, manual, unusual, or high-risk transactions may require supporting documentation or additional review.

Our Story

Split Mobile Inc. was founded by Brandon Bolosky, a filmmaker and entrepreneur who saw how often shared costs caused confusion — from production budgets to nights out with friends. With a background in design, media, and tech, Brandon set out to create a smarter, cleaner, and more human way to manage group money — combining fintech innovation with lifestyle convenience.

From its start in Los Angeles, Split has grown into a movement: a lifestyle brand built around clarity, connection, and community.
